Trexo Robotics

Trexo was born from a personal experience

The Trexo story begins in 2011 when Manmeet learned that his nephew, In the past, he was diagnosed with cerebral palsy. Praneit would not be able to walk as a result of his diagnosis.

Manmeet and his family searched for many solutions to help Praneit walk, only to find that nothing was available. They found out that these existed. "exoskeletons" who could help with mobility, but it turned out they were for adults only.

During this time, Manmeet learned that children with disabilities spend a lot of time sitting, which can have negative health consequences. without the ability to walk, many children simply have no way to exercise and stay active.

Building a solution for children

Manmeet had a deep desire to help his nephew, so he asked his friend Rahul to help him. They knew about Ironman and both studied robotics at the University of Waterloo, so building a robot to help Praneit made a lot of sense!! Then, Trexo was born and evolved over time into the product you see today.

Trexo's special history has played an important role in our values and mission. We design everything with the comfort and needs of a child in mind. With every child who uses Trexo, the device improves.

This approach to co-creating our devices with children, parents and physical therapists is deeply ingrained in the way we think about solutions. At the end of the day, our goal is to create technologies that physical therapists trust, parents can pay and kids love.

Finally, after many months of trying, design and test again, Praneit got his own Trexo. Manmee wrote about Praneit's experience with Trexo Home and what it meant to the entire team. We've also shared the Trexo story on the Rifton blog! !
